Das LGL Bayern veranstaltet am 30.11.2011 eine Fachtagung zur Gentechnik - Anmeldung ist erfoderlich. Als Expertin zum Thema "Risikobewertung von GVO" spricht Beate Tappeser (BfN), vor ihrer Verbeamtung durch Renate Künast (Grüne) Anti-Gentechnik-Aktivistin beim Ökoinstitut Freiburg.

Der französische Fachverband der Maiserzeuger (AGPM), der eigene Studien zum Bt-Maisanbau durchgeführt hat, drängt angesichts der Maiswurzelbohrerproblematik darauf, gentechnisch veränderte Maissorten zuzulassen. Der komplette Maisanbau in Frankreich stehe auf dem Spiel.

Eine wissenschaftliche Studie über den Pollenflug von transgenen zu konventionellen Baumwollfeldern kommt zu dem Ergebnis, dass dieser Effekt mit einfachen agrarischen Maßnahmen gut zu kontrollieren ist.

Im März wurde das Schulprojekt als Ort im Land der Ideen ausgezeichnet. Nun hat das Publikum die Möglichkeit, seinen Favoriten zu wählen. Bis zum 21. August kann täglich eine Stimme für den Lieblingsort abgegeben werden - per Mausklick einmal pro Tag auf den Abstimm-Button.
