Veranstaltungen zur (gegen) die Grüne Gentechnik gibt es in Süddeutschland zuhauf - die Meldung anbei als Erinnerung an diesen Trend. Welch ein Erkenntnisgewinn: "Maulesel und Muli sind unfruchtbar." Die FDP argumentierte mal wieder allein auf weiter Flur für die Biotechnologie.

Dem Vorschlag der EU-Kommission für eine Toleranzschwelle von 0,1 Prozent für Importe nicht zugelassener GV-Futterbestandteile wurde zugestimmt. Nun hat der Ministerrat das letzte Worte. Der Standard kommentiert dies aus gewohnter Sicht.

Bis vor wenigen Jahren galt Brasilien als "Hoffnungsträger" für Gentechnikgegner, weil nur wenige GV-Kulturen zugelassen waren. Doch die Politik hat längst umgeschwenkt, und seither stehen die Vorzeichen auf agrarisches Wachstum. Auch Bayer CropScience ist vor Ort aktiv.
